Your Burning Questions Answered

Yoga is for your body, mind and soul. With years of history, culture and philosophy behind it, the benefits soar beyond mere physical exercise. It’s a time for self-reflection, kindness, and growth. A moment for you to feel connected to the present moment and a practice to dissolve daily stress.

Barefoot Studio is perfect for beginners. Our classes are designed for all levels and we encourage making yoga practice your own. We create an environment where all level yogis feel comfortable and happy and we encourage listening to one’s body.

With that being said, we suggest wearing close-fitting and comfortable clothing and bringing a water bottle. If you have a yoga mat, feel free to bring it. If not, we offer $2 mat rentals. Come 10 minutes early to sign in and leave your belongings in our dressing room.

Our yoga classes are made for everyone but our Saturday Beginner’s Basic class at 10:30am is designed for novice yogis. In this class, we go over basic yoga postures and breathing techniques. New students also enjoy our mellower classes like our Gentle Flow and Warm Stretch classes.

We don’t offer a free trial class but we have great deal of Intro Special $39 for 2 week of unlimited yoga.

If you have a mat and/or yoga props we encourage you to bring them. If you don’t, we have mat rentals for $2 and props for daily use at the studio.

If yoga were easy, everyone would do it. We encourage new yogis to give themselves at least 5 classes to get comfortable with the practice. After that, it is up to you and your body on how often you want to practice. But remember – if you don’t use it, you lose it.

Yoga practice is yours. We suggest consulting with a doctor before coming to class and mentioning any physical concerns to the yoga instructor in case poses need to be modified. If you decide to practice, take it easy and listen to your body. If it hurts, stop. If you need rest, rest.

We suggest coming to class on a semi-empty stomach. Eating too much before yoga can cause an upset stomach mid practice.

Sometimes. For many of our classes, the studio is kept between 80-85ºF to help with warming up the body and detoxification. Our beginners basic class is unheated and some of the instructors will play with the heat depending on the mood of the class.

Yes. We have two dressing rooms and a bathroom if you need to change before practice. We ask that you leave your belongings in the dressing room during class. Please do not leave valuables in the changing rooms. Our studio is not responsible for your belongings.

Yes, the parking lot is located right in front of the studio.
